Our team of IVF centre Clinique Croix du Sud – Inovie Fertilité (Groupe INOVIE) is pleased to have achieved an ongoing pregnancy already in one of our few patients who underwent embryo transfer several years post-cancer treatment.
Very few pregnancies have been now reported following immature oocytes collection from women who had to undergo oncological treatments and contra-indicated to receive hormonal ovarian stimulation. Oocytes are then in vitro matured (IVM) and vitrified for later insemination once the patient is disease-free.
The reasons for the rare outcomes are recent technology combining both IVM and vitrification providing recent patient return and the existence of few specialised centres targeting this technology.
